1. Data We Collect

AMZ Product Analyzer collects no personal data. The extension does not transmit any information to external servers.

The following data is stored locally on your device only using chrome.storage.local:

• Your Amazon Associates affiliate tag (if you enter one)
• Your Pro upgrade URL and price display text (if configured)
• Your Pro license key (if activated)
• The last search keyword and its results (for session restore)
• Your daily search count and date (for free-tier quota tracking)

None of this data leaves your device.

2. Permissions Used

• tabs — Opens a temporary background tab to load Amazon search results for scraping, then closes it immediately.
• storage — Saves your settings and last search locally.
• host_permissions (amazon.com) — Required to read product data from Amazon search result pages.

3. Third-Party Services

When you click product links or ad cards, you are directed to Amazon.com. Amazon's own privacy policy applies to your activity on their site. If an Amazon Associates tag is configured, purchases made within 24 hours of a click may generate affiliate commissions for the extension developer.

4. No Tracking or Analytics

This extension contains no analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party SDKs. No usage data is collected or shared.

5. Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Any changes will be reflected in an updated version of this extension on the Chrome Web Store.
